Immediate family members were added to the Credit Union's field of membership for eligibility in 1959.

The original name of our Credit Union was API Employees Federal Credit before it was changed to APCI Federal Credit Union in September of 1961.

Did you know that the world’s first Automated Teller Machine (ATM) was installed in London in 1967? Thanks to this invention, our members can use our ATM Locator Tools to access ATMs worldwide.

Our Kids Klub Program was first introduced in the 1990s and has grown to nearly 500 members.

APCI Federal Credit Union continues to achieve sustainable growth. We reached the following asset size million-dollar milestones: $100 million in 1995, $200 million in 2001, $300 million in 2007, $400 million in 2009 and $500 million in 2013. We currently manage over $600 million in assets.

In 1996 APCI FCU introduced a loan by phone application, and in 1998 an online loan application became available. Today our members can easily apply for a loan with APCI eBanking from their desktop computer, laptop, tablet, or mobile phone.

In 2017, APCI FCU opened membership to employees of Versum Materials and members of their immediate family and household.

APCI FCU has called six locations home. The Credit Union began at Air Products in Emmaus, PA before moving to Trexlertown, PA where operations occurred out of a home on Route 222. APCI FCU then moved to the original Air Products Corporate Headquarters location on Hamilton Boulevard and had changed locations three times on that campus to better service our members. We are now conveniently located across from the new Air Products Global Headquarters at 6126 Hamilton Boulevard.
