Members' Credit Union Story

Years of Membership: 30

Andie joined APCI FCU as an Air Products employee and has remained a member throughout corporate acquisitions and career transitions. There are also two additional Credit Union members in her family. Here is her Credit Union story:

“At the time I joined APCI FCU, I was a new employee and new to the area. I was young and didn't know much about the finance world or Credit Unions. I had a family emergency and needed some financial assistance. I reached out to APCI FCU, and they explained how the Credit Union works and the benefits as a member. They took my information and were able to help me right away. They also showed me that by using the Credit Union, I could save the extra money I would have paid in interest at another financial institution. The process was quick and easy, and funds were sent to me right away.

I really appreciate the fact that over the years I have spoken to some of the same representatives. The level of member service has not changed since the day I joined. APCI FCU still makes me feel like I did when I first joined - like I am their only member. Over the years I had another emergency. Again, they offered me several options to get through it. Thank you for providing excellent service over the years.”

Q. What was your deciding factor in joining the Credit Union?         

A. An immediate family member, who is an Air Products employee, encouraged me to join.

Q. What would you say is the #1 benefit of being a Credit Union member?

A. Loan rates.

Q. What type of situation or interaction have you experienced during which the Credit Union, or a Credit Union employee, provided service that made a significant positive impact for you or your family.

A.  I recently completed my second auto refinance loan. In both cases, the rate that APCI FCU offered was significantly lower than the financing the dealer or manufacturer offered. This has saved me a great deal of money in interest charges. Additionally, all of the staff members have been wonderful to deal with.
